Pleased but surprised. He’s keeping the oppo guessing.

I'm pleased too. We need the creativity that he provides in this
game.

Really good to see Wilson back on the bench too. For all the
enthusiasm Ludlam brings - and I do laud him for that, he always
gives his all - he's just not international class, especially in
such a fiercely competitive position. International back rowers
have to be brutal in the tackle and at the ruck these days - or
first choice ball carriers. He's neither.

But as stated on previous posts, Ford needs to play his own game
and ignore the whinging baby outside him. If he chooses when to
kick and when to run rather than giving the ball to Farrell all
the time then we can hurt them.

As much as Ford offers tactically, I think it's also an
admission that we're weak defensively in the 13 channel and
obviously at full-back. By moving Farrell to 12 and Tuilagi to
13 I think EJ is looking to stop the All Blacks attack out wide.

Full Back. That's a far bigger issue.

This with bells on. He seems to be playing Brown's game just not
nearly as well as Brown. Always carries and never makes it
through the first tackle. Poor in the air too.

Happy with this selection (i.e. Ford and Farrell at 10/12).
I think Ford brings much more to the team at 10 than Slade does
at 13. Slade did well for May's second try (or maybe it was his
first - the break and then grubber) but I still don't think he
adds more as a starter than Joseph. Good bench option though.
I'd still go for Wilson at 6, Curry at 7 then maybe underhill on
the bench, but not surprised he's stick with Curry and Underhill
