Ref Link

I’ve never got to the end of a season before without losing or
breaking my Stoop reflink, so the question has never arisen. The
cynic in me assumes that they change the frequency each season,
so last season’s reflink won’t work this year and I’ll have to
buy a new one anyway, but can anyone confirm?

My one from last year worked against Bristol Bears two weeks
ago.
I don't think the club(s) change the frequency. I think I might
have taken mine to the Wasps game away in May but I might be
making stuff up!
Anyway, if you keep it safe it should last forever! (Battery
willing!)

Thanks for that, I’ll give a try on Saturday. Who knows, I might
be a tenner up on the season already! <rubs hands> 🙂

They work year on year , you just need to change battery as and
when

I thought that they were sealed and you couldn’t change the
battery. Then again, I’ve never had one long enough for it to be
an issue.

You can access the battery (a coin cell type)by twisting off the
circular section with the Quin logo on it. You may have to hunt
around to find someone that stocks that particular size of
battery, though. When I tried to find them in Tescos &
Sainsburys, it wasn't one they stocked. However, I managed to
get them off Amazon.

Poundland sell blister packs of various sizes of cell batteries.
It is probably worth spending a quid there to see if one is the
correct size

Yep they work over different seasons. Had one for the last 3
seasons (Couple of battery changes) , and it still worked for
the last home match.
You can also use them at some away grounds.

If you have a more sophisticated ref link radio, which allows
tuning, then here are what I believe to be the ref link
frequencies at the Stoop. Be aware that they might swap!

I had trouble finding batteries too. When I couldn’t find one in
my local Tesco and was walking out I remembered there was a
Timpsons (shoe repair store) and they did watch batteries so
checked there and they had loads of them which worked perfectly.
