Bizarre article. He rubbishes three designs for being based on
the same template, and then puts a fourth one based on the same
template as his favourite. Not that it’s of any real
consequence.

Sounds like the writer doesn’t really love rugby kits!
Was a tad underwhelmed by the England kit but I find it
difficult to do much of consequence with an all white jersey and
get that concerned about it. As a purchaser of rugby stash, I
would always veer towards Quins stuff, if any, and never really
consider buying any England gear.
However, my top pick would be the French kit. Think it’ll look
great and has a retro touch with the large badge. Close second
would be South Africa’s.

I did like the French one, too. The big advantage with England
gear is that if you buy a shirt in one of the years when the
design is fairly plain, it doesn’t need to be replaced for quite
a long time...

The England kit is available in the shop at HQ..... £100 for the
playing shirt, that's one hundred of your English pounds for a
shirt, top, jersey, call it what you will. One hundred quid!!!
Do they think we are all mad? Answers on a postcard, please.

If £100 is too much for you do what I and nearly everyone else
does and buy the cheaper replica! ;)

France always seems to manage to pull off a stylish look and get
great kits whether it’s rugby or football. I remember one of
their Nike (I think) efforts from a few years back - the darker
than normal blue one, that I liked so much I nearly purchased.
Weird as the French club shirts can be a real cacophony of
colour and intrusive sponsorship, in contrast.
