Not the end of the world. Mulchrone was staying on as cover for
Landajo during the world cup he was not selected. I expected
Elia to be away with Samoa so not the worst news (but not great
for them of course)

We've also got Saunders as cover at SH, so there's a chance for
him to get some game time as well. With Baldwin, Crumpton and
Buchanan available at Hooker, it's not the end of the world.
Maybe even a good thing to get a couple of injuries out of the
way before the season starts!

Interesting question, and I think I know the answer, but suppose
someone was injured but the injury wouldn't stop them playing,
just something that needed to be managed and eventually a spot
of surgery to sort it out. Harlequins are presumably under no
obligation to liaise with Eddie Jones on the timing of the
surgery. The club would do whatever was best for the club?

One would hope that if DC had a chance to go to Japan (as first
reserve or whatever), Quins wouldn’t deliberately remove that
option.
The well-worn example of Stephen Donald should be enough that
anybody who can (and the wants to) be available should be.
By which I mean, my take is that either Danny’s injury
completely prevents him from playing or he has completely
withdrawn himself from England.
And I can’t see it’s the latter given the narrative that has
come out since he was dropped.

Sad to hear about the injuries but the release is very positive
and we do have better cover than we might have had in previous
seasons.
I was heartened to read Gussy's opinion on Elia, whom I've
always rated. Could become the best ball playing hooker in the
Premiership. High praise indeed.

I hope DC didn't miss the trip to Ibiza.
