       There are some people find the puns irritating.
       There are some find them not funny.
       They irritate me when people are trying to have a sensible
       discussion and this is going on at the same time. In fairness
       it's not always obvious when a thread is "dead" due to the
       stop/start nature of message board content.
       SO .... we had a  48 hour rule last season that said after that
       time a thread was fair game for puns (the 48 hours was to kind
       of take care of people who only logged on here using work
       computers).
       For the avoidance of doubt - this rule applies again this
       season. I don't want to have to sanction anyone over something
       as meaningless as this, but I will if necessary.
