It was last time so why not this time. As soon as the
authorities backed down when Sarries threatened to sue if there
were any sanctions they gave carte blanche to sarries to do as
       they want.
The reality is that Sarries should be relegated 2 divisions as
were Glasgow Rangers - not quite the same scenario but not
entirely different either in that a club that cheated salary
rules gained success on the back of it.
Another factor is that rugby is not like football where there
are loads of teams who are willing and capable of taking the
place of any relegated team. Sarries are one of a small number
of rugby clubs in the U.K. who own a ground and have a crowd of
more than 5,000. The authorities are therefore not going to
take any serious action against Sarries.

No surprise. Sarries, if of course it is true, will now take it
to the next level of breaking the cap, paying outside the cap
and finding another scheme. I expect they will bring in more
internationals. The rugby authorities continue to be bullied.

<New boy sticks his head above the parapet> There is another
conclusion to be taken from the RFU’s impotence in this matter.
By allowing teams to get away with it, they set a precedent for
       others....
I do agree with the salary cap but I also agree with an even
playing field. Top flight pro rugby can’t survive on this
financial model, something’s got to give.

       It's PRL, not the RFU.

My bad, but the point remains the same.
