Italy must do everything to hang onto O'Shea

Not sure he is a legend but certainly helped Quins pull
everything back together and built on what Deano had started so
we won Premiership. I am an admirer but not to legendary status!

Legend, no.
Brilliant - hmm, totally failed to recruit players or coaches
for post 2012 and let dressing room stagnate, maybe his mind was
already elsewhere but...

agreed - did not replace our locks - brought in Casson fgs -
Stanley ? - and a host of journey men
let us never forget the icon that was Doran-Jones either
we got progressively worse since 2012 as players left / retired
they were replaced by other who were not up to prem level

The problem Italy have is that while they make some marginal
gains here and there, they're often short lived or the other
nations make greater gains. They used to give Scotland a beating
on a semi regular basis, and have beaten Wales, Ireland and
France before but the rest have moved on and they are better but
still way way behind.

Never been an O'Shea fan but respect what he did to win the
premiership.
Can't see what he has done for Italian rugby.
If he fails in the RWC his only way forward is to go back into
sports admin. Can't see the IRU offering him his dream job in
the near future.

Just like the person at the top carries the can when thing goes
wrong, COS should be credited with our best ever Prem
performance.
As for Italy, we shouldn't just judge him on the national team's
performance. I believe he is involved in improving the game at
all levels, and their club performances have come on in leaps
and bounds. They're no longer the whipping boys and that will
ultimately benefit the national game.
For me, the best thing for them will be when Parisse retires. An
absolute legend, a great player, but too often they've relied
almost entirely on him.
