It's ring-fencing by the back door.
Endless meaningless games where the Welsh and Irish field their
3rd (sorry,'development') XVs to concentrate on international
rugby but the WRU and IRU will take all the extra finance
provided by the premiership teams to simply prop up their own
unsustainable spending.
There's also bound to be a guarantee that 3 Irish and 3 Welsh
will be assured European Cup entry where ever they finish in the
league.

The problem with the Welsh, and to some extent the Irish, is
that they aren’t Rugby Clubs. They are regions. The Welsh won’t
watch the team in the next valley let alone he same region. The
regions won’t support the “club” that has been the designated
team unless they were already supporters of it. That’s why gates
are dismal but they all turn out for their country.
They may well be thinking that English team support could
swell the attendances along with a few Welsh with the England
Wales aspect of the fixtures. I think we should stay as we are
and play them in the European competitions.
