Is this progress because the men's team are men not gentlemen?
Genuinely not sure what the big difference is or why this is
seen as significant progress but if it is then fair enough.

I think the word “women” has an all inclusive meaning rather
than “ladies” which is more exclusive. Look up the definitions
in the dictionary. You would have to get permission because all
the official registrations and documents would be as “ladies”
not “women”. Like changing the name of a company.

Not really. If you mean some people do not care and have zero
interest in the women's game that is their choice.
Personally I have watched a couple of games and it is nor for
me. I appreciate others enjoy it and respect that. I am
liberal I accept that others have a different point of view to
me.
