I'm just glad I managed to pick up 2 of the long-sleeved 150th
anniversary shirt. It's a thing of beauty!

I liked the short sleeve cotton one from last year with the
retro HFC logo on the right

I’m not keen on advertising on my shirts as I may not like the
company, especially if it’s a betting one, but there is often no
choice. Or rather it’s buy it or don’t. I’ve never understood
why people pay so much for average quality clothes with a
massive logo on. You’re paying through the nose and advertising
for free for that particular brand. We are all marketing puppets
to some extent but many are the full Pinocchio.
I like the fact that the World Cup shirts are not allowed
any sponsors logo. I’m hoping that England win it as it’s an
excuse to get a new one. My last one is old enough to vote.

Aren’t they a bit of both? Appreciate they are a supplier but
aren’t they also sponsoring through the supply of Kit?

Sure. Not really relevant to the point though is it. The World
Cup shirts are “sponsor” free but you’re advertising Canterbury
wherever you go. So it’s the same effect.
