It's be disappointed if that is true... I would have hoped that
the Horwill situation wouldn't have been a complete surprise to
the club. I don't see that we have replaced him at all.

Yeah, it did read to me as a bit final as well but I wonder if
it's meant more as a consolidation of all the signings announced
so far. Or maybe deliberately lulling us into thinking nothing
more is coming and then some huge announcements come along.
Timing of announcements is all part of a well-oiled machine
designed to maximise season ticket sales, so hopefully it's that
kind of red herring.

How many of those signings are expected to be 'first choice'?
One?
And on the bench, as 'second choice'? Three, maybe?

We should still be looking for an Injury Replacement for Earle,
seeing how Visser's now retired and Walker & Alofa have left.
That's effectively 3 & 1/2 wingers less than last season. We
can't be relying solely on Chisholm, Ibitoye, Murley and Morris
to cover 2/3 in the back, especially if Mike is over in Japan.
We don't know if Murley's even able to train again yet after his
injury.

Contracts overlap so our cap space season after next could be
huge with the early retirements this season. We may get a couple
more players in but it’s very late now so can’t see it
happening. I’m sure we would have been given some kind of hint
if we were, to boost season ticket sales. I wonder how many big
names will go abroad after the World Cup. Problem is they can’t
sign if they want to go as it overlaps our season. Very
latecomers perhaps.

I did not read as that is us done, just who is going to be here
next season.
I was bored so had a nose on RIL, he seems to think there are
still a few teams that are active with transfers. He seemed to
think Exeter are done. Bristol are busy and still hoping for a
big name to come in. AWJ could also be leaving Ospreys. All
rumour from him of course **

I can't realistically see us going into next season without at
least 1 additional winger.
