He'd be an absolute PR nightmare for the club, would see us lose
a number of supporters, and no doubt pee off a number of the
current squad. On that basis I'm out.

No matter how many times someone says it, you refuse to accept
       it.
He signed up to an agreement that says he can’t publicly hate
gay people - he broke it. It’s that simple.
Quins publicly support equality, diversity and respect.
On a personal note if you think it’s ok to hate people for their
sexuality, and to express that view, well I hope you don’t sit
       anywhere near me.

No we won't. We backed out of the Jackson deal and Dimes has
publicly said previoulsy that we want nowt to do with Folau.

And, of course, just signed one of the best English full backs
       currently playing.

I would not want him at the Stoop.
He's entitled to believe what he wants in private, but he
doesn't seem to understand that what he says is harmful to the
sport and to the people against whom his comments are directed.
Your rights stop where they start harming others, especially
when you have a contract that explicitly says that.
If he showed any awareness or contrition, it might be a
different story, but he hasn't. And Blucher is right - several
of the squad would be very uncomfortable having him around,
though I suspect that Joe would have a field day winding him up.

I wouldn’t want him associated with us. I don’t think Harlequins
would want any controversy neither. As someone mentioned above,
the club has some supporters who are LGBTQ and players like
Marler and Care notably support the community. Personally I am
straight, and I have deep respect for anyone and everyone as
long as they do not intend harm or bad wishes on anyone else. I
work with and know many people with different diversity’s and
that includes people from the LGBTQ community. I understand and
respect individual views but he should keep those views to
himself as what he has said clearly isn’t nice for the LGBTQ to
see or hear, and what he said clearly isn’t welcomed in our
notably inclusive game or the community.

If the position is that he was sacked for breaching his
contract, that's not a reason for every club to reject him. It
would be simple to get him to sign a similar contract and hope
that he abides by it. If the position is not to sign him because
his views are unacceptable, that's a slippery slope to go down.
Where is the line drawn? Not signing a player who votes for the
BNP? Not signing a player who publicly supports Donald Trump?
Not signing a player who publicly advocates Brexit?
I can understand people who might have disapproved of Joe's
tweets to wind up Folau. Didn't bother me, but what if someone
       did claim they were offended?

Most reputable companies won't employ someone who was sacked by
       his last company.

The reason he wouldn’t be signed is because his presence would
cause such a stink that it’d most likely detract from any good
he did as a rugby player. In the same way a club would pass over
someone who had other disruptive traits.

Sacked people find new employment. It's not just disreputable
companies that employ them. Some believe in giving another
       chance.
As for disruptive traits. quite often these can be managed.
