       He wasn't that good in the final.
       Great club player, didn't cut it at international level.

       Yes Bendy was possibly worse in an England shirt than Goode.
       Another player who looks great at club level but just doesn't
       have the extra but to his have at international level

       He is an exceptionally talented rugby player, but not an
       exceptional fullback.  He has a great range of skills, but it is
       actually the basics of fullback play that can let him down and
       why he is not an international 15.  Almost the opposite of Brown
       or a Matt Perry who just never let you down on the basics.
       At international level you cannot have players who cannot
       guarantee to deliver the basics.  NZ are the best team in the
       world as they do the basics better than anyone else.  Once you
       are doing that you can add all of the other stuff on top.

       I'd rather have Goode at fullback for England than Daly - if
       we're not going to play a fullback at 15 then might as well play
       the more gifted playmaker there.
