Just stop that, for heaven's sake!

Ridiculously harsh. Marcus Smith is not the finished article,
but he’s a lot better than ‘OK’.
His performance against Clermont was excellent. We just need to
see him controlling a game like he did then more often.
This may be controversial, but I actually think Smith has looked
better when paired with SHC or Mulchrone than he has with Care.
When Care plays, he runs the show, which has its pluses and
minuses IMO.
One of the drawbacks is that Smith gets less of an opportunity
to control the game from 10 and then tends to try to force it
when he does get the ball. That’s partially immaturity from
Smith but sometimes Care needs to remember he’s not playing 9
and 10.
Lang is OK, but I agree with others that he’s a decent utility
back rather than a genuine 10.

Lang is a good player , he has a cannon of a boot , tackles well
and runs hard , all the attributes of a full back really .When
he played at full back for the A team (apart from the lack of
speed of Morris or Chis ), he did a good job - maybe with work
on his speed he could be a long term replacement for MB .
Townsend picked him for Scotland last summer at centre saying he
was an excellent ball carrier and tackler and felt that was the
best position for him in his side ( with Hidalgo Cline at 9 and
Adam Hastings at 10)
We usually play him at 10 /12 ( and I think once on the wing
when injury forced it)
As a young man he will just be keen to get over the whitewash at
the moment at every opportunity regardless of where he plays,
but soon he needs to decide his best / favoured position and
work on it , or as mentioned above could end up permanently on
the bench as back up for several positions .

I’ve just seen that Quade Cooper has 12 try assists this season,
he’s currently at the top of the try assists leaderboard. Now
the Cat has been confirmed as leaving, I’d take Cooper in a
flash.
I get that SH rugby is all about attack and a very open game,
but still think he would teach Smith & Lang a thing or two.

Premiership club table monster offer for Quade Cooper
Mercurial playmaker Quade Cooper has reportedly been speaking to
Premiership side Harlequins over a potential move to South-West
London.
70-cap Wallaby has told friends that Quins have approached him
over a move.

A FoxSports AU article seems to suggest Cooper wants to stay
with the Rebels.
“Who knows, let’s hope it all works out well so I can continue
my football here and strike up a deal. That would be great,
hopefully sooner rather than later. But it’s out of my hands and
you can only do so much as a player."
