as soon as Wales have the ball and there's an overlap.

Jonathan Davies is a truly dreadful commentator. Awful on the
ears, repetitive, obnoxiously one-eyed, and prone to gloating.
Cotter would get my vote as the best around.
Ugo is a babbler who does horrific things to the English
language.

I watch a lot of NFL and they have a play by play commentator
and then Color (sic) commentator/s who are usually explayers.
They add colour to the play by play supposedly giving insight.
And to me that’s the key, insight. Let us not so well versed in
the game (obviously not talking about myself ;-) hehe) have that
insight into what just happened & why, what should have happened
& why or if they are really good (see Tony Romo in the NFL) what
is about to happen & why.
Dallaglio mere says what has happened in the same way that the
casual viewer at home could see! There’s never any why. He talks
over the ref (pet hate of mine and lots do it) and then repeats
what the ref just said as his own analysis.
Returning to Healey as the subject of this thread I actually
don’t mind him as he does the analysis bit ok. Where he fails is
he’s not a likeable bloke. I’ve been to Rugby Tonight several
times and he is out the door as soon as it finishes. The others
all take a couple of minutes to speak to fans. In the down time
the others chat and joke Healey was never included. My real
problem is that I see a lot of myself in him! Not good haha

Jonathan Davies...oh dear. However, when Wales lose, the way he
says "disappointing" is rather wonderful... ;)

O'Driscoll yes - utterly hideous
My vote for the worst pundit/commentator I have ever heard was
some alleged female pundit doing the Exe v Munster game whose
entire contribution was to repeat every few minutes "he's a big
strong boy" or words to that effect - nothing whatsoever
insightful to say
She gets the PC gone mad award

Women are just as entitled as men to be bad commentators without
it being PC GORN MAD. Most of the women employed on the telly as
rugby commentators or pundits are recent or former international
players themselves.
Sometimes they're excellent. Sometimes they're Phil Vickery.

Surprised there's no mention of Dewi Morris, to be truthfully
honest. He's like an amalgam of the worst traits of all the
other duffers mentioned.
