How is Austin Healey still in a job - just constant garbage
coming out of his mouth and nothing insightful to say.
Clear forward pass just now and Austin swears blind it’s gone
backwards.

I think he’s fine
My wife asked me earlier if I didn’t cringe listening to
dallaglio. She doesn’t follow rugby just thought he was chatting
rubbish generally. Had to explain he is generally considered a
great player but dire pundit

Looks like I might be in a minority of one, but being a better
pundit than Dayglo is hardly a ringing endorsement.

I don't like him much but more so if he is a pundit on a tigers
match where his bias really shines through.
However he does know his stuff.

Then again the best commentator by a country mile is Flatman. A
true successor to Bill McLaren IMO.

Flats is the best. I also like Monye but feel he tries too hard
not to show favouritism to us and goes the other way!
Healey gives really good analysis and is not afraid to voice an
opinion, which is usually thoughtful and well considered. The
problem is his humour, once quite sparky, is now so
cringe-worthy! You can see his fellow pundits on Rugby Tonight
grimace through his every Brent-ism!

The bigger issue here is the death of decent sports commentary
by only employing ex players in every sport rather than people
who are good commentators.
It's killing a properly skilled job, and leaves us with people
shouting nonsense or talking all over things where silence would
be better.
Totally understand using "experts" for analysis, but it's
getting ridiculous now and makes watching TV sport much less
pleasurable.
