And yet the suggestion that he is no longer premiership quality
gets shot down completely. As I said above, he was a fantastic
player for us. But I can’t see him regularly making a match day
23 for any of the teams in the league. That takes nothing away
from his previous service.

The suggestion was that he wasn’t - not that he’s no longer. It
may have been phrased incorrectly if that’s what was meant.

TBF just because he hasn't been announced anywhere doesn't mean
he's not signed anywhere.
