Walker hasn't done it for me, never really realised his
potential. Someone with that pace should score everytime he's on
the field but he never has done. Similar to OLH, we don't seem
to be able to get these promising, quick wingers to be the world
beaters that they should be. That's my worry for Gabs. Are we
picking up athlete's and trying to turn them into Rugby players?
Should be the other way round.
Looking at Visser and Earle, they are more consistent scorers.
Not as quick but have a rugby brain, like Tom Williams did. Ugo
was just so powerful that he always did well.
Hoping that Murley and Gabs are getting that side of their game
       developed.

He played one game and got dropped. His operation came months
       later.

Which sounds like exactly what the op was suggesting. An injury
that was trying to be managed without the surgery that then
became necessary as it wasn't getting better without.

I'm not saying walker should be starting, but im pretty sure his
stats are incredibly good. I think his strike rate is one of the
best we've had and comparable to the likes of Wade, Ashton, etc
in terms of tries per game.
Not saying he should be playing ahead of the others, as it would
appear his attitude stinks, but not sure his try scoring ratio
       can be criticised

       Walker: 41 tries, 92 games for Quins = 45%
  HTML https://rugby.statbunker.com/players/getPlayerStats?player_id=30431
       Wade: 99 tries, 164 games for wasps = 60%
  HTML https://rugby.statbunker.com/players/getPlayerStats?player_id=26802
       Ashton: 76 tries, 117 games for Sarries = 65%
       93 tries, 110 games for saints = 85%

I like walker, and always liked seeing his name on the team
sheet. But those stats are quite different.
Edited to add: 45% doesn't seem bad to me. Not sure what a
decent return is on a winger... Probably depends on the team and
       how they play.

Odd that you compared Walker to two blokes who clearly have
       exceptional try scoring records.
       Sharples 83 in 253 = 33%
       Nowell 31 in 105 = 30%
       Strettle 56 in 154 (Sarries) = 36%
       Rokoduguni 63 in 138 = 46%
       May 83 in 171 (Glos & Tigs) = 49%
       Watson 26 in 95 (Bath) = 27%

I was just responding to T-Bone's post before mine where that
comparison, which I was disputing, was drawn.
I did say that 45% didn't seem that bad, and that I wasn't sure
what one should expect from a winger in this regard?
Thank you for answering my latter question though!

       Morning,
are D Care and J Marler injured, or just on rest for the game
       against us ?
