       I think the profit would be pro-rated to the share of capital
       input. So the £200,000 example would be 50% of the profit each.
       I think you need to have a proper look at values though - £100k
       might but you a decent garden! ;)
       As has been mentioned previously, the joint venture could be an
       above board thing - but they also need to look at surveyor's
       fees, legal fees, stamp duty etc etc. It may not sound much, but
       on a £1 million house that can be substantial - ask Deadly! And
       of course they could be getting free business/legal advice,
       which really isn't cheap these days.

       I think it’s more likely that the investment from Nigel is never
       paid back. In effect giving the players X100K each.
