Think the comment about us having won more or as many away games
as the last 5 seasons with quite a number to come really shows
how Gussy has made the team more resilient and stronger
mentally. Good team, got a chance. Think we may lose Friday but
beat Saints.

I'd prefer to have Saili start, but happy with the team. I think
that Tapuai has been our player of the season - so consistent
and strong in both attack and defence.
Wayne Barnes is ref. Never sure whether that's a good or bad
thing.

Having watched Murley before his injury, he's more than capable
of smashing Solomona off the park.

Honkytonk - I agree... it IS great to see The Cat starting at
10. He has been there or thereabouts for a while and if he has
got his mojo back then it is really good news, like a new
signing. I think Sale's 10 is coming back from a long injury
also.
I am also surprised that Saili is not starting but perhaps he
has a slight niggle? Or perhaps Gussy thinks Alofa deserves his
chance, which is fine by me as he is a quality player and I feel
he always gives 100%. Having Marcus and Francis Saili coming off
the bench = game changing potential.
Looks like Sale's first XV to me, so it will be tough.

Could do with someone sitting on Faf or tying his shoe laces

It's all about slowing down their speed of ball delivery to him.
They can't operate unless they're getting first phase ball, they
don't commit and aim to shift the ball as quickly as possible.
I'm hoping our much improved defence - performance in the ruck
and the line speed that screwed up Warriors at the weekend will
help.

If anyone can stifle him and keep him on his toes it's surely
our Danny?

Trouble is they play the same way.
It's more down to the pack to slow his access to get that ball
out to the channels where they like to play.

He (Faf) can also cause them problems. BT were talking about it
during their game last week. The fact he wants to be involved
"all the time" means that he turns up in places he shouldnt be,
and that leaves gaps elsewhere for the oppo.
