HARLEQUINS NAME SQUAD TO PLAY SALE (A)
       Thursday, 4th April 2019 @ 12:00
DEMETRI CATRAKILIS MAKES HIS FIRST GALLAGHER PREMIERSHIP START
OF THE SEASON AS HARLEQUINS TRAVEL TO SALE IN THEIR ROUND 18
FIXTURE ON FRIDAY EVENING (KICK-OFF: 19:45).
Demetri Catrakilis, who scored the winning penalty in the dying
minutes of the Club’s European Challenge Cup quarter-final
against Worcester last Saturday, is one of two changes in the
back line as Nathan Earle returns to the right wing following
his rest week with Ross Chisholm, who has been in good form over
the last month, rotated. Cadan Murley, who scored an excellent
try against Worcester to help set up the victory at Sixways,
       moves to the left wing.
Up front there are four changes with Max Crumpton at Hooker
coming in for the injured Elia Elia. Kyle Sinckler and Matt
Symons both return following their respective rests at Tighthead
and Second Row respectively with Alex Dombrandt also coming back
into the team following his regeneration week.
Head of Rugby Paul Gustard said: “We were very pleased to win in
Europe at the weekend and reach a semi-final but since then our
attention has been solely on our next Premiership fixture as we
look to push forward in the league.
“It was an important win for the Club to move forward not just
in that competition but to continue to develop an unconditional
mindset and approach to how we play.
“We have now won as many or more away matches this season than
we have done in our previous five seasons, which is reflective
of the positive growth we have been developing this season.
“Sale as we know are a well-run club under Dimes [Steve Diamond]
and a very dangerous team with an array of attacking talent and
options, but fortunately so are we and we look forward to this
       challenge.”

Real pain to have marler, marchant and Chisholm out at this
stage of the season. Any word when they are due back?

Strong team. We have a large number of injuries though at just
the wrong time. Need Marchant and Marler back as soon as
possible and, to a slightly lesser extent, Collier.
Good to have Earle, Crumpton and Sinckler back as starters.
Slightly harsh on Chisholm to miss out altogether, but
understandable that if he doesn't start he doesn't feature at
       all.
Slightly surprised Luamanu is ahead of Bothma and even Wallace

Agreed, Rodney, but that's still a great team. I think the only
realy problem there is at LH Prop, centres and back row we have
       better strength in depth.

Chisholm isn't back this season, assuming you mean James. He's
had knee surgery. I think he might possibly be available for a
final, but basically out for the season

No excuses with that team. Great to see the Cat starting. I
doubted whether he would be here next season but if he can get
back to the player he was when he joined us, he will be (to use
the cliche) like a new signing. From that, Marler, Ellia,
Collier and Marchant are all losses but I agree that we have
cover at Centre and Back Row. Hooker and LH are a little more
of a worry but it will be good to see Auterac get a chance. I
liked him before he came to us but he seems to have stalled. A
run of games could do him good. Real strong set of backs for us
(starting and bench). Replacement bench is not our strongest
but I would still say there is enough there though.

Real shame to be missing Marler - I’d actually have Auterac
       starting over Boyce.
Will also be interesting to see how Murley gets in against
Solomona, might need a bit of help in defence.
Think our bench is stronger and hope that if it’s close Smith
and Saili will make the difference.

I agree with most of that, but marchant to alofa is a MASSIVE
step down defensively. We have a tendency to let sale score a
       lot of points against us....

I think Alofa deserves credit for filling Marchant's place. It's
not such a massive drop in quality, although Marchant has been
one of our top performers this season.
Sad that Elia has picked up an injury. Hope it's not too bad. He
and Crumpton are a good pairing for the hooker berth. Not sure
if Bothma is injured but Mat did put in some nice big hits on
Saturday. I hope he's fired up if he gets on.
The Cat is a surprise and I hope it's not too soon to start a
game. He looked good last week but we have Smith on the bench
and it's a good option to have, as well as a big contrast.
I was thinking back the other day that the first time I saw
Marler play was against Sale, last game of the season, and I
think it was his first appearance for Quins 1st XV. Maybe
someone can confirm or correct me - he and JJ came on as
replacements, and it was the first time either of them played
       for us?
