What you're saying might well be true but the four guys they're
looking for could just as easily be Quins fans. Although I hope
they're just local football dweebs that turned up to drink - and
can be swiftly barred from ever encroaching on our beautiful
game ever again. If they are Quins fans (or Warriors fans) they
should be barred too for that matter.

I saw that on twitter but then heard surprisingly little about
it. Thought there would be a much larger outcry.
I don't think people can keep claiming it's a "football"
element. There are unfortunately, at every club, a small number
of idiots and then every club will also have non-supporters
turning up mainly for a drinking session

I'd bet if this was at a football match it would be all over the
media.

According to Daiky Mail Quins complained to Worcs as it was
Catrakalis who was targeted so not likely to be a Quins
supporter

If the guy punched the mother, why was he shown the door by
stewards. Why wasn't he held pending a police arrest!

Don't ask me. Watch the video and/or ask someone who saw it.

I once saw an Ealing Trailfinders supporter use a silver drinks
tray to direct the sun into the opposition kicker's eyes. He was
swiftly despatched by fellow Ealing fans. The great thing about
rugby fans is that they typically police themselves.
Separately, even though I don't follow football, I'm embarrassed
by the constant 'holier than thou' comments on this site re
football.
These laser idiots are clearly not sporting, so hopefully
they'll be identified, humiliated, and banned from games of
whichever sort.

No need to be embarrassed - just my (and others') view. You're
entitled to not feel the same way. We also don't pretend that it
makes a difference what we think - the country will carry on
going nuts about football. ::)

I don't think rugby fans do themselves any favours with the way
the football thing is expressed because it comes across as posh
snobbery because rugby is still a posh sport.
But for those of us who've moved from football to rugby -- I can
take my son to rugby and he doesn't hear the f and c word
constantly or witness violent threats and hostility or
occasional bouts of racism and homophobia and he can see "rival"
fans sit together and not have to be separated by a police force
afterwards.
I'm sure there are plenty of rugby fans who think like that but
thankfully they don't feel encouraged to say it out loud.

I think you can love lots of sports but recognise the
differences between them, agreed though it can sometimes come
across superior from the more enthusiastic members. Can't
imagine it doesn't work the other way round too though.
But from my experience, I support Tottenham and was a season
ticket holder there many years ago. The last game I ever went to
was a home match against Chelsea which ended with the supporters
being kettled by the police to keep the two sets separate, in
itself a scary and intimidating experience especially when
police on horseback used. I was sadly though stood next to a guy
who decided he would scream and rant at the mounted police
officer using foul and abusive language that was extreme and
then proceeded to attempt to start a fight with him, just
because we were being held whilst the other fans left. Shocking
enough until I looked down and saw him holding the hand of his
son who must have been 4 or 5. That was it for me.
