I think we've done pretty well, cannot complain and I'm sure
there's a three year plan based on the finances. he says with
fingers crossed.

Don’t know why you want a big name they rarely work out and cost
far too much money, this guy is someone to grow with the team
and we all know that that is the way to success and players
staying at the Club.

Bit of an oversimplification. I'm sure Hogg at Exeter will be a
roaring success. Cips at Gloucester and Piutau at Bristol both
spring to mind as big names that have done the business in a
pretty impactful way. Naiyaravoro at Saints, Faf at Sale were
both household names in Super Rugby and came over here and
repeated those exploits from the off. I think we'll see big
names when some of our older, higher paid contingent start to
wrap up their careers - Horwill and Visser leaving end of next
season will free up some cap and I'd hope to see some big names
this time next year.

Watching that video, he's a strong and powerful upright runner
that doesn't mind bish and bosh (no relation), steps off both
feet, likes the inside pass, tackles well and turns over, scores
tries and can kick the ball. OK, its 7 minutes of highlights and
its lower grade rugby, but he looks like he has the skills.
Wonder if Dominator pushed his name to the scouts...

Yes, quality players rarely do well.

We had lots of internationals announced on Monday - I just think
it’s a shame we ended with a kid rather than spacing out the
internationals.

Could be that the bigger names had already been all but
announced so were more of a confirmation of some badly kept
secrets.

Looks pretty promising to me. Breaks the first tackle and stays
on his feet, unselfish and knows where his support is, got a
decent pass, seems to have very good defensive positioning
(watch him push the players outside him into the correct
channel) and gets turnovers. Taking any uni level player is a
bit of a gamble, but he’s not going to be costing us much.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes him a season to get up to
speed with premership rugby, but he seems to have the rugby
brain and is young enough to be worth a gamble.

I guess we won't be having any threads about boating at Oxford
or Cambridge...
