Jersey FH/Centre. Joined them from Ulster after starting at
Bath. Think he only played a couple of games for Ulster

He's only 23 - so a season getting regular game time in the
championship may have done him a lot of good. Interesting that
we've chosen to go for another young fly-half with Smith and
Lang already on the books - possibly indicates that Smith is
very much on the England radar post world cup.

Yeah never heard of him really helped.
Anyway, moving on. He's highly-rated. Gustard is clearly
excellent.
But....
I can't actually work out why we need need another 21-year-old
fly half.
I'm not saying it's a bad thing I just can't think why - unless
Lang or Smith is leaving?

Still a young guy (6 months younger than Lang). To my mind that
means Gussy's looking at having three players rotating/competing
for the starting 10 jersey* and bench spots. Somehow doubt we'd
bring in a fourth more senior FH option on top of this three.

He and Lang both turn 24 this year, not 21 ;)

are you referring to Brett Herron? He's 23, 24 in November...

Maybe he became available and it was too good to turn down even
though we have two young FH already??
