Why does everyone want to beat England?

It inspired the Scottish and the Welsh second half come-back.
Is it historical do you think? Going back to days of YORE?

It's because Eddie Jones winds everyone up with annoying
comments pre match!!

No it's because they all care more about their historical
grievances than anything else. Pathetic really.
Farrell lost it after the charge down and failing to catch the
hooker. Chucked a miss pass that was intercepted and got even
more out of sorts. Daly isn't a full back, rubbish defence,
Youngs was very poor again too

Pretty much.
Not so much the others but I wonder how well Scotland could do
if they got themselves up for other games as much as they often
are for England.
Also I’m done with matches at HQ. The majority of the crowd both
home and away supporters are just there for the piss up now and
yesterday was the straw that broke the camels back. Had the
misfortune to be sandwiched between a group of England
supporters in the row in front who spent most of the game
standing up and arguing about who’s round it was and a Scotland
supporter in the row behind who was effing and blinding all game
despite numerous requests for him to knock it on the head. I
know it hasn’t been getting worse for years but yesterday was
the straw that broke the camels back.

Interesting!!!! You obviously have a psychological background.
The core of the BRITISH army was made up of Welsh, Scots and
Irish with the principal officers English. One of my brothers
was in the Welsh Guards and the English officers were highly
respected. So maybe not historical?

Tell us why from your point of view Teddington? Genuinely
curious.

Stock answer is that the English are arrogant.

Interesting. I was high up in the north stand and, given the
recent reports, decided to keep an eye on the situation during
breaks in play
Admittedly we couldn’t see the bottom two tiers of our stand but
we had a great view all of the other three stands.
At no point did I see streams of people in the aisles (except
the obvious half/full time).
Is it possible you were just unlucky?
From our side we were surrounded by English but with a trio of
Scots a couple of rows in front. During the second half, they
were getting more vocal but no swearing that I heard and nothing
malicious.

Maybe I was Yareet. Possibly have just had a bad run of people
around me. This guy was incessant, full on yelling all game.
Glad there were no kids in the bit round me.

Think it’s a cocktail mix of a view things. A little bit of
history, topped up with a teasing Eddie Jones, added with a dash
of perceived arrogance and a slice of jealousy that we are still
the only team out of England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales to win a
World Cup.
Served gracefully with swing low sweet chariot and in the great
HQ that is Twickenham Stadium, home of English rugby!
Cheers 🏉🍻🥂🍹👌🏽
