Yeah that's just taken off the fixture list so this week
included and up to the end of season.
Personally delighted last home game is a Friday night - big blow
out and no need to rush home. Whereas Sunday 1pm doesn't work at
all. But totally get if you don't happen to live 10 mins from
the ground it's a whole different thing.

Sunday at 1 is far from ideal for anyone whose kids play mini or
youth rugby.

Bearing in mind where our ground is, why don't we play away
games on the Saturdays when there is a game on at HQ?
I don't want Friday evening games. I don't want Sunday games.

Friday evenings are far from ideal for anyone who does not live
within a short distance from The Stoop, particularly if they're
not in a direct transport line to TW station.

@QQ
Although it sounds a good idea to play away when matches are at
the Big Stoop, this only works for the 6N. The AIs run over 4 to
5 Saturdays (if you include the Barbarians game).
But, I think that playing on the same day as an England game
affects ticket sales. Numbers definitely looked down when we
played against Wales. So, maybe the club don't see this as a
great option.

Although the facts show it was our highest attendance for a Sat
afternoon game this season.
13,167.
Beaten only by:
Sell out in cup against Sarries - Sat KO, but most expensive
seats £30.
Sell out in Prem against Chiefs -- Friday night KO.
13950 against Sarries in Prem -- Sat KO but at 7.30pm.

I noticed that they announced it as "Tickets Sold" rather than
"Attendance". I think there were less than 13k there for that
game! ;)

Well indeed, almost impossible to know these days -- except
whatever game it was in the winter when beforehand they'd called
it a sell out in the run up to the game but it was actually
about -5c and there were no trains so they congratulated
everyone and then announced "attendance" which was about 7k.

Yes - my point about the attendance during the Eng v Wales game
was specifically about attendance (rather than tickets sold).
In my mind, there were a lot of empty seats.
Empty seats (even if the ticket is sold) do not buy beer at the
bar.

But a ticket sold is still a ticket sold, so the club gets the
money from that. I'd guess the majority of those "tickets sold"
that didn't turn up were season ticket holders. Doubt many folks
would buy a single ticket then not turn up...
