I can't see it happening, cost prohibitive and probably other
priorities that are more important/urgent. I'm also not sure
it's an issue we need solving. If it did happen though, one year
would probably be the limit.

I would love to see Cips in a Quins shirt. I do not hold with
the idea that he would hold Smith/Lang back, how can they not
learn for a player of his quality.
I agree that Smith/Lang are wonderful prospects. Cips is not a
prospect he is the real deal. Sarries have not won things by
playing good prospects.
As for Cat - surely not. A family of one of our ex-players who
know the Cat family told me last year that he had no heart for
it after his near death experience.
His few cameos this season have been very uninspiring.

It doesn;t really make sense. If he'd be leaving Gloucester
because he no longer feels it's worth staying in England to play
for the national side, why would he join another English club
when he's bound to be able to earn more abroad

The weird thing about that article is it seems to be hinting at
some other reason for him leaving Gloucester - as it suggests he
probably wants to stay in England and fight his way back into
the England squad. But the whole article reads like a
speculation piece with no actual inside scoop tbh...

Weren't we talking to Cipriani before he went to Gloucester but
with how we were performing he didn't fancy it?

I thought it went wrong as COS announced he was off. The rumour
I heard (Rumour I know) was that it was as good as done but then
he backed out due to COS leaving

Yes that’s right. He turned us down I think. But then he’d
probably heard what a khazi the changing room was under
Kingston.
Given Smith is developing so well and having a good season with
Nev coaching - I’m not sure Cips would be an ideal mix.
Feels like we need a good experienced head in there but not the
kind of player who carries so much attention.

Go on then, just one season though, Danny.

My thoughts exactly. Would love him at Quins. He’d do a world of
good nurturing Smith and think he suits the Quins flair
attacking style perfectly. Cips supplying our backline would be
immense

No-one so far seems to have addressed the question: is he a good
fit culturally? Does he have the kind of commitment and work
ethic (and willingness to stay out of the social columns and
avoid late-night revelry and compromising situations) that one
would have thought Gustard demands?
