There may be a number of Welsh players looking for a contract
       for next season...

Are they expecting any support for this new team? The way the
Welsh are with their valley system I can’t see them turning up
to watch. It’s bad enough as it is. They certainly don’t get
       much revenue from gate receipts.

When you look at the geographical split of the 4 "regions", you
can sort of see that a team based in the North, particularly if
based somewhere like Wrexham, could provide a draw for the fans
who at the moment have zero top level teams to support. That
said, the way the regions are drawn up is crazy:

If you look at population rather than area, then those splits
       might make more sense.
Fourth side likely to be in Colwyn Bay, where they play the U20
       games, I think...

For no apparent reason, I always supported Neath as my Welsh
club. Then it became Ospreys, now it'll be Scarpreys. It's too
lost internally to support them anymore.

Not sure exactly what Scarlets have done wrong to have their
       identity affected .
I think they should consider investing in London Welsh rather
than RGC . at least they have great heritage and a good London
       Fan base.

Investing in LW is complicated, as LW are a member of the RFU,
not the WRU. That means they'd have less control over the
players than they have over those based in Wales. Also, since LW
went bust as a Professional club, they've slid down in the Level
8 London 3 North West league. That's one hell of a long term
project to get them up the leagues to the top level again!
If the WRU simply pull them out of the RFU, load them up with
lots of professionla players & put them in the Pro14, they still
have the issue of Old Deer Park not being up to the standard
required. You'd want to keep them in London. We know what
happened when they moved to Oxford. It's taken the Not Nots 20
years to find a reasonable stadium to come back to in London. I
doubt there's others that they could look to rent...
