Lol I’m being mischievous but still; our defence has some major
issues.
The whole game we never covered Earle’s side of the pitch - he
was doing the work of three players.
Mulchrone can’t kick to save his life - Lewis is just not good
enough to be in the Prem.
Gloucester....don’t think any chance of Care back, Smith doesn’t
seem able to control much without him. Eeek.

Points against were not great but as I said before the game,
Bristol play some good rugby and are not afraid to throw it
around. On the whole, it was another comfortable win though.

You say that, but back in the Rory Clegg days I’d chose Chisholm
any day of the year 🤣
Great that we have a few options now and all are notable on
target most of the time!

Genuine question: do you think any of this matters when there
does not appear to be a single prem team with a consistently
reliable defensive approach?

Dopey defence today. One dreadful kick through to Piatau that
led to their 3rd try was reminiscent of last season. The TMO not
working for their first try was verging on the comical.
Some good attacking stuff though again and a BP win. The drop
off in scrum half quality after DC is what may limit our
progress this year.

Well that could save us but the last two games something has
gone seriously backwards.
And just to reiterate - we have NO competent 9s other than D.C.

Didn't see either game, myself. Perhaps we're all getting ready
for a ring-fenced premiership. :)

I’m not a fan of Lewis but thought he did really well today. He
made a potential try saving tackle and made a great pass for
Earle to score.

I thought Gussie had fixed defence -clearly he has to have
another go.
