Beauden Barrett offer from Quins

On the Rugby Union Weekly pod cast Danny Care had a week off in
Dubai and had a few beers with Beau Barrett who was also in
Dubai. DC mentioned Barrett was offered a chance to play for
Quins but he was off to play for Japan. DC also said he was on
the plane while Ireland v England were playing and checked the
score once he landed at 60 mins.

Apparently Danny also says that there are more signings to be
announced.

Well yes.
Presumably if Barrett was offered a deal we intend to splash
alit of cash, like world XV cash.

I'm excited to hear we're even chasing players like Barrett.
Bodes well in terms of who we actually end up getting. Didn't
necessarily think we'd be looking for a fly half of that quality
- thought maybe an experienced player to help steady the ship
whenever Smith/Lang are not quite handling things but didn't
expect us to be looking at world class players. My guess is we
weren't the only ones though - when a player like Barrett is
available I'm sure most DORs drop his agent a line. Either way,
interesting...
Now that we know we were in the hunt for Barrett at 10, who do
we think we might go for instead? Possibly using the NZ
connection...? Let's start a rumour for the guys at RIL. Richie
Mo'unga? Brett Cameron?

He was wearing a onesie to start with but got changed into
shorts, t-shirt and flip flops to arrive in.
