i never use transistions as i don't know what ones make the
vidoe look better. so i end up only using fades of black and
white. but hwo do you know whtat transisytion to use.

well idk what sv transitions are called, but a brilliant one is
cross dissolve (which is what its called in imovie)

Cross dissolve, zoom, fade to black for sure, Um, oh yes, it's
just a blur/sideways movement between the two clips, and one
similar, except it's a circle blur. I used those on my recent
videos.
It's basically just trial and error, taking the time to play
with transitions, and making mental notes about how they look.
And looking at the pro editors like MissDoonaQueen,
thetiaraclub, ninjataco12345, and the like, and see what they
use, see if you like it, if you don't like it.
Transitions can be really nice :)

i hate it when some people don use any colourings, transitions
and just have plain clips and they get more veiws and
subscribers than some who uses effects on videos

yeah
I don't mean to offend these video makers, but tardistakeoff and
k9humpsmyleg don't use transitions or colourings or any effects
and they get tons of views
My most popular video has less views than one of their normal
videos
I never know what colourings to use though

sounds stupid but i close my eyes and think of what images i'm
getting and what mood it puts you in. like in shattered the
colours blue, purple, red have this sadness about it.

i never get the mood right
like for scary videos I use a dark colouring called bleach
bypass, and for flashbacks I use black and white, and for happy
videos I use glow, but thats it, and for other videos I don't
know what else to us, especially if its sad
