       Fee Structure Changes

       Jim: Fee discussions might better focus on how COC's successful
       competition does it. That sounds a little like free /
       voluntary. Alternatively, a modest annual fee doesn't sound too
       painful. Unfortunately, it will inhibit the timid curious
       people out there.

       I have been asked by a number of people to provide some kind of
       an interim solution to the web site's requirement that
       membership fees be paid before members can attend events. If
       we're going to go back to a voluntary donation model, but the
       web site doesn't currently support that, how do we function
       until we get a solution in place?
       I think an interim solution should be provided. Do other folks
       agree? What should that interim solution look like? Here are
       some possibilities:
       1) Maybe we can set the fee amount for Regular Membership to
       zero on the web site. I'm not sure if this would work - the web
       site might then try to force people onto the payment page to pay
       $0, which might be a road block;
       2) People could contact the coordinator to be added onto the
       event through the "Add Member to Event" feature;
       3) People could contact the Membership Committee (i.e., Kim) to
       have their membership expiry date updated to a future date;
       4) Other ideas?
