       Time for a review

Hi All. I'm just wondering if there is a real need for this
forum since there have been no new posts in a long time. I'm
happy to leave the forum open but wonder if it's serving any
purpose at all or if maybe it has a purpose but isn't realising
       it's potential.
Please let me know your thoughts on how you feel things are and
what could change or should stay the same. Any feedback will be
       much appreciated.

Looks pretty dead to me. It would have been nice to have a safe
and active forum here, but it looks like it is not meant to be.
       :(
Not so say that something couldn't turn it around.
I've been on a few other forums in the past, such as the one at
  HTML http://forum.bible.org
  HTML http://forum.bible.org
, but not much lately. It's hard to find a
good online community for building each other up.
Lately I've been focusing more on blogs and blogging,
specifically with a 'following Jesus' bent. I have a list of
resources in that area I'm starting to put together. It's at

I wonder why it doesn't flower into the marvellous discussions
we all remembered from when we met at the MC forum. I also
wonder why MC allowed the forum to be shut down. I guess in this
present economy I can understand if he and his outfit could no
longer afford to run it. I know for a long time no one watched
over it and it got full of trash and spam, which is why Minstrel
and I asked to be moderators so we could clean it up, for which
we were never thanked except by the members who are now
       who-knows-where.

I used to do electronic bulletin boards back in the 80's and
90's before the internet became big. They were quite popular.
When the internet took over, they died out for the most part.
But forums filled the gap, fulfilling the same role as an online
       community.
Now many forums are dead or dying. Everybody's doing the
twittering and facebooking thing - useful for a sentence or two,
but not so good for longer, more in-depth conversations. I don't
do either (although I do have a FB account).
       <sigh>

I think it's true that this along with many other boards is
sadly dying or dead. Since it currently costs no one any money
who is a member I suggest we leave it open and see what happens.
It it revives all good and well if not nothing has been lost.
Obviously if createaforum choose to delete the forum I won't
dispute the decision unless I'm requested to by the members.
       As Andy says <sigh>
Thanks to you both for checking back and responding
