Guys, something I just saw, there was no irating gain or loss,
only safety rating.

Ya I remember reading it ini the notes, makes sense for a test.
A lot of guys on the forum asking for one or two resets for the
race, hopefully iRacing will give us at least 1 for the race.
This morning before work I looked quickly at the hpd stats, I
think out 120 or so HPDs, only a handful finished if you look at
laps completed...

Same plan for the real race? got a couple weeks to test and get
faster...
That was probably the most fun ive had with iracing to date!
Seems like the GT3 cars are tanks compared to the HPD lol. Quite
a few people telling the same story... small bump in the race
and too much damage where in another car is usually like 20 sec.
repair.

Yeah, I'm hoping for resets. On another note, Does anyone here
race in 'Masters of Endurance' or any other endurance leagues
and what do they do with damage and resets.

Ya I think we should just keep testing, practicing and hope
iRacing does a reset.
I think more then a few teams will be switching from HPD to GT3,
something I thought about but then we'd have to chose a car,
start testing all over again so I don't think I want to go that
route. Although I would be open to it if everyone on the team
wants to abandon the HPD for GT3...
I had been signed up to a GT3 team but I really wanted to race
the HPD, just found out they won their split.
@ Jack: I'm not sure what those leagues are doing as far as tows
but I have seen some endurance events run with tows...

I'd prefer to run the HPD with our team here. I do have a
fallback GT team, but I think we can get it done, even if they
don't change things.

Agreed Eric, I still want to give the HPD a go, it's a good
challenge! :D
Oh BTW, Kevin Bobbitt posted on the forums that he needs some
replays from the race, from split 4. I told him we had some
replays, he may want us to email him some later unless other
drivers already responded...
I think the iRacing staff team was in our split, I saw Nim Cross
in the there also in GT3...

Yes, Nim, Kevin and Shannon were all in our split. Team Cross
and "Staff Infection". It seems Kevin's irating isn't all that
high :) and Shannon joined later.

I say stick with the HPD. We have good experience in it and will
be able to carry that into the real thing.
