Nice... maybe there is some more top speed to squeeze out of the
       HPD.

Tried these gears. Mild change, still can run infield corners
in 2nd for those of us who do, and higher top end on the
frontstretch. Also cuts one shift on the infield for me.

       Another set of gears.
I ran a 1:36.2 in qual trim with these gears, a 29 rear bar, 33
#. and minor tire pressure/ride height adjust

feels decent, but I'm suspecting it has slower acceleration :-/
However, considering how much drafting we'll be doing, I think
       it's worth it.

Will be around for testing so gonna try your changes Eric...
Maybe if we have taller gearing we won't need as much TC...? Was
running 7 instead of 8 easily...

Eric, I take it back, the gearing is perfect :)

Took a look at our ride height and I think there's more
stability we can get without compromising the top speed. I took
front perch offset to 1.354 on both sides and rear to 2.661 on
both sides and the car feels so stable even under full throttle
acceleration in first gear while turning. Good example of that
is T1-2. That corner requires you to turn under acceleration a
bit which can catch an unstable car out and cause a spin or slow
you down with spinning the rears. This adds more front traction
and rear traction which comes into its own by the time you're on
the top end of 1st gear.
Also, this gearing is great. I get 185 mph at the start/finish
and I saw 187 in the draft.

most recent setup feels like a really stable car and fast as
well. was running high 36s for a few laps with full fuel. even
ran a 1:36.216 with qualifying fuel. Could have ran a high 35
easy if i didnt mess up a couple corners.
same with Sergey, hitting 185 and 187 in draft, close to 186 and
       188 i can feel it! :P

       the replay, if anyone
cares to watch it (keep in mind this is the first half hour I've
had in car with the most recent setup, and haven't been racing
the HPD in a day or two.)

Nice. Looks like we are contenders for a win on speed. I don't
think we'll end up high on the splits because I have some
friends who are lightning quick. A few of them take part in the
iRacing DWC in F1 who were practicing so I think we are
definitely going to be somewhere in the middle. Hopefully not in
the bottom split where all the noobs race :P That being said, we
are setting ourselves up quite nicely. Dare I say quite a few of
us are about a second-or-so off the pace of all the pro drivers.
We can expect top split to be running 35's so if we do 36's and
37's we are right there with the best of them (aliens not
       included lol).
On that note, work tomorrow, so good night all.
