Don't know if they fixed it. But when the HPD last ran there
and they had some minor nose damage that lost their lights.
Then went into the pits to repair. The HPD's could see their
lights but everyone else could not. Like playing Skyrim with an
invisibility spell.

FYI on Sebring:

Sebring will be a day race. This has nothing to do with repairs
only that we strongly believe this will be better for all
participants. Sebring is incredibly dark at night as most of the
track does not have lighting. Plus, the real race is held mostly
during daylight hours.

I would like to have four drive teams. Five maximum.
I like running endurance racing because it allows for judgement
of speed and safety. Personally I like running three
consecutive stints. About 2.5 hours. That would make some team
strategy as to which drivers take the extra time.

Good know that's it's a day race!
Looks like we're split up a little with HPD and GT, I believe
with a few more drivers we can have 2 HPDs and one GT car with 4
man teams.
I'll go recruit from the list of drivers who applied for last
race and see what happens.

What a relief. I really wasn't looking forward to the hours of
practice I'd have put in just to get the hang of Sebring at
night. I've done loads of laps of Sebring and feel like I know
it like the back of my hand, but at night it's just a confusing
blur of darkness.
For a daytime race my preference for car might have just swung
back towards the HPD. ???

anyone play around with setups yet?
Im liking a medium downforce over the low... obviously losing
time on the straights but seem to make it up in the turns over
the lap... plus with the bumpy and slippy surface, might be the
way to go

Justin, MDF for HPD at Sebring is the equivalent of shooting
yourself in the foot. Granted the car will feel more controlled
but you will lose so much time and speed on the straights that
there is no chance at a win. Plus, passing GT's there requires
maximum top speed you can muster because if you can't pass it
before the sunset corner, it will slow you down even more.
I've always seen the HPD/IndyCar/F1 as something that you need
to feel uncomfortable in. It needs to keep you on edge. Granted,
at Daytona the HPD felt absolutely planted even with low
downforce, but that's rare. I say start with low downforce
(always) and try to make it comfortable. I always go with the
quote "If it feels like everything is under control, you're not
pushing hard enough." Racing prototypes and open-wheel isn't
about feeling control and comfort, it's about going as fast as
possible because that's when the car gives you the most control.
I think we need to work off of the Daytona setup, just for
bumpier road. I think the tires might react different to Sebring
but we can make small changes that will make the difference.
1st: make sure it doesn't lock up easily under braking, 2nd: try
to keep snap over-steer at bay, 3rd: gearing and finally play
with TC to make sure you eliminate as much wheelspin as
possible. :)
TL;DR: I'm rambling about setups while knowing very little about
setups, I'm just trying to think out loud (or in this case, in
text).

I think you will be surprised at Sebring. I haven't done a
lot of HPD testing, but I know in the GT cars and even the
open-wheelers higher DF has always been faster. With the long
straights you wouldn't think so, but getting through the primary
corners to launch into those straights requires the DF - turn 5,
the safety pin, tower turn, Le Mans, and Sunset.
I always start Low DF as well, but usually end up somewhat
higher at Sebring. It's counterintuitive, but I can't argue
with results. Got spanked by Wyatt Gooden at Sebring once in a
league race and he was running a high DF setup and clicking off
the fastest laps :o. So just be sure and give the higher DF's
a try.
