       Clans of the Waterfalls Rules

       Every member that is on this forum is [i]required to read the
       site rules before engaging in roleplay or anything else on the
       COTW forums.
       If ANY rule is broken while on this forum, you will face the
       consequences for the rule that you broke. Therefore you must
       read the rules so you will know what rule not to break.
       Please read each rule carefully. [/i]

       Rule 1:
       No powerplaying. This is a very important rule if you are
       roleplaying on the forum. Powerplay means that you forcefully
       harm another player's character without their permission. Here
       is an example.
       [quote]Silverfur bit into Shadowfang's pelt.[/quote]
       This is an example of powerplay. The player of Silverfur does
       not give Shadowfang's player a chance to dodge the attack.
       Here is the correct way to fix this.
       [quote]Silverfur aimed to bite into Shadowfang's pelt.[/quote]
       By using the word "aimed" you can give the player a chance to
       dodge your attack and pervent breaking this rule.
       Rule 2:
       No excessive dodging. This is an important rule in a roleplay
       fight. Excessive dodging is when your character dodges another
       character's attempted attacked multiple times in a row. If you
       dodge at least three times in a row, this will lead to you
       breaking the rule.
       To prevent this, please do not dodge another player's attack
       multiple times.
       Rule 3:
       Do NOT play as someone's character. If someone has a character
       in a roleplay thread, you are NOT allowed to play as their
       character. This will result in a immediate warning. If it
       consists, a ban for a temporary amount of time.
       Rule 4:
       No cussing. You are not allowed to cuss anywhere on this forum.
       It will lead to a warning and if it persists, a ban.
       You are not allowed to cuss in roleplay, in the OOC chat, or
       anywhere on the forum. However, you are allowed to cuss in a
       private roleplay thread.
       Rule 5:
       No sexual conversation. If you post anything on the forum that
       has to do with sex, you will be banned for a temporary amount of
       time. If you continue to post about sex after being temporarily
       banned, you will be banned permanently.
       Rule 6:
       Do not advertise another site besides COTW. If we catch you
       advertising another site outside of Clans of the Waterfalls, you
       get a warning and lose 10 Herb Points. If you continue to
       advertise, you are warned again and if you continue you are
       banned for a temporary amount of time.
       Rule 7:
       Make sure that you get a staff member's permission before making
       a plot that involves an official clan. This does not go for
       unofficial groups. If you are going to make a plot that involves
       an official board clan or a Semi-official clan, please contact a
       staff member and get permission first.
       Rule 8:
       Do not bully or threaten other members. This rule is very
       important. You are not allowed to bully another member anywhere
       on the forum. This will lead to a warning and a possible ban for
       a temporary amount of time. Please remember to be respectful and
       kind to every member on the forum.
       Rule 9:
       Do not give your character powers without purchasing them. You
       are not allowed to make up your own power in an official clan.
       You can only give your character powers if you purchase them
       from the shop with your herb points.
       Rule 10:
       Have fun. :U This site is supposed to be a safe place where
       people can roleplay without drama and bullying. It is important
       that you have fun during your time here. <3
