Note: These are not real illnesses. These are illnesses that I
made up for COTW Roleplay. Some illnesses only effect a certain
races, and some effect all races in the Waterfall islands.
General Diseases:
These illnesses apply to all races in the Waterfall islands
EXCEPT for the Volduri. They are immune to most sicknesses.
Common Illnesses:
Liquidcough-
This is a common illness that mostly occurs at a young age. Most
infants seem to be prone to this illness most commonly. The cure
is very simple and the disease itself is not contageous or
deadly. The cure is where medicine cats or healers or anyone
will just simply need to find the person who is infection with
Liquidcough a total of 6 poppy seeds. In 1 hour, the cough is
almost certain to go away. The effects the Liuidcough has is
where the victim will cough excessively, and along with their
coughing large amounts of saliva will come with the cough,
causing them to spit when they cough.
OOC:
This thread is a WIP. If you are a staff member and you want to
add onto this with your own made up illness you may do so. If
you want to make an illness that only applies to a certain race
you may make one as long as it's not a disease that affects
Volduri. There is only one illness that can effect a Volduri and
either me or Fire will be making that illness up.

Dry Scale- Only happens with fish, serpents, and Merhorses. What
happens is the animal is infected with Dry Scale by being bitten
by an infected fish or other aquatic animal. The scales will
become dry and rough to the touch, and blisters near the mouth
are a common sign of Dry Scale. If left untreated, the scales
will shrink around the gills and make them bleed. It causes the
scales to be itchy as well, and the animal will eventually die
of dehydration, because you cannot drink water to cure it. The
cure is actually a mixture of snail's slime and ooze secreted
from a kind of seaweed that you coat yourself with. In a few
days the animal's scales will return to normal. Dry Scale is not
contagious, but it can come in epidemics that can affect many.
Hatcher's Mold- Only Dragons and Serpents can get this illness.
At a very young age between hatching and 3 months, the baby
dragonet or serpent's scales are very soft and mushy. A kind of
mold that grows on dead animals will actually begin to grow on
the skin, making the scales ooze and rash. In severe cases, the
mold will actually grow inside the young hatchling, clogging
arteries and causing organs to fail. Thankfully, this is
uncommon. There is no known cure for Hatcher's mold.
