Two kits lay shivering in the cold night, Skullclan close by.
They cried out to nothing. Nobody seemed to hear them.
"Where are we?" The unnamed she-kit asked her brother.

The male kit solemnly looked at his sister and sighed. "I don't
know..." He whimpered, huddling closer to her. He looked around.
It was cold and it looked as if it was about to rain right down
on them.
Swordstar was leading the night patrol. The Skullclan leader's
ears were perked as they looked for anything new on their
territory. Suddenly he scented kits. His eyes widened and he
unsheathed his sword-like claws. He flicked his tail for his
warriors to follow and he ran in the direction of the kits.

The little she kit mewled loudly. She heard noises.
"Help us!!!" She called.
Blackrage followed her mate faithfully. The kits were not far.
She had always dreamt of having kits, but Swordstar always
refused. These kits could be her dream come true.
"Swordstar, if these kits are alive, can I have them?" She
looked hopefully at him.

Swordstar turned to look at his mate. "If they have rabies, I'm
killing them on the spot. But if they don't, then I'll see what
they are here for and maybe we can adopt them." He told her
softly.
Swordstar padded into the clearing where the kits were and
looked at them. No foaming mouths. Good.
"Greetings, kits." Swordstar said, he sheathed his claws to show
them that he and his warriors were not going to injure them.
"What are you two doing on Skullclan territory?" He asked
gently.
The male kit was too shy to speak. He cowered and glanced at his
sister.

The she-kit shivered.
"I don't know why we're here.... our daddy.... he left us here
in the dark....." she mewled pitifully.
"The poor things. They were probably abandoned." Blackfury
looked sadly at the kits. "Come with us, little ones. You will
be lonely no more."
Blackfury looked pleadingly at her mate.

The male kit blinked and looked up at Swordstar hopefully.
Swordstar gave a long, patient sigh. He looked at Blackfury then
the kits. "Alright...do you have enough milk to feed them?" He
asked, looked at his mate.

"I think so." Darkfury meowed happily.
The unamed female kit purred as Darkfury picked her up by the
scruff. They had a new home, and a new family.
OOC: You can name the male kit, I'll name mine.
I have an idea! The male kit can be the next leader of
Skullclan, and he and his sister will be the downfall of Tribe
of Drifting Leaves.
So, what do you think? :)
