Creek's Past part 2

Marlin blinked in the bright sunlight, meowing in surprise.
Where were the Notails and their food and comfort? Then she
remembered. Trying to run away, Marlin had fallen into a river.
Was she dead? Is this heaven? Marlin thought groggily. But then
she heard a song, sang by the most wonderful voice she had ever
heard.
May the stars above cry out in joy,
The world to me was once so bleak
No comfort or love to seek
I once was lonely
Now I am loved!
I once was nothing
Now I am seen by the stars above!
Thank the stars for this wonderful gift.
The melody weaved about Marlin, wrapping her in song. It was
like you could almost touch the words because of how enticing
the singing was. The verse of joy strengthened Marlin out of her
woozy slumber. She stood up and walked in a circle and lay down
again.
"Oh, up already, my little kitten?" a soft, flowing voice said
in gentle surprise.
Marlin turned her head to see a beautiful black she-cat with
small white spots on her pelt. The cat's eyes were a pretty
gemlike blue that twinkled in laughter.
"Who are you? Where am I?" Marlin.
"I am Storm That Stalks Light from the Tribe of Falling Waters."
Storm purred.
"The Tribe of what?"
Storm sighed lightly. cats these days never seem to understand.
"You are in a tribe that lives on a mountain."
"Oh"
"And who are you?"
"Marlin,"
"What kind of cat names their kit after a fish?" Storm laughed.
"I don't know,"
"No matter. We need to introduce you to our leader an give you a
new name."
The two cats padded through the camp. Many faces turned to see
the small cat with the collar. A large rock loomed above and it
was floating..... literally. Storm helped Marlin into the den.
After a long time, Storm and the leader came to a decision.
"You are going to be an apprentice to me and you will be called
Creek That Runs Through Forest."
