I think this is how it should work:
Attack - increases physical damage dealt.
Defence - decreases physical damage taken.
Energy - increases elemental damage dealt.
Resistance - decreases elemental damage taken.
Speed - increases chance to attack first, increases chance to
dodge attacks.
Luck - increases accuracy, increases chance to inflict a
critical hit.
Magic, protection, precision, and elusion seem unnecessary and
too complex.
Precision and elusion should be merged with luck and speed
respectively, just like in geomon.
Sometimes simpler is better. ;)

Simple wings(Shows the animation of wings for the monster
wearing it)
+15 speed
+10 attack

If precision and elusion are included in luck and speed, you
would have two decent stats rather than four mediocre stats..
and trinkets (or whatever you decided to call stat increasing
items) would be more functional and therefore more sought after.
If luck is accuracy and critical hit together, players would
like luck trinkets.
But if luck is divided into precision (accuracy) and luck
(critical hit), people would probably consider these defective
trinkets useless compared to the other ones and
not worth obtaining.
See what I mean? ;)
