Trainings helping in organization
By: Gunslinger Date: October 22, 2012, 3:31 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Just a simple topic, anyone can suggest a training for better
organization should post it here. Show me what you got people.
Don't ask for a suggestion by me, I got nothing. At least for
now.

WODCA
By: Vngngdn Date: October 23, 2012, 12:51 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
So, here I am. Registered. :o
This idea comes from my own country. I'd like to suggest: A
police control.
I'd like to give it the code: WODCA, which is also the name of
the controls in my country.
(WODCA: Weekend0ngevallen Door Controles Aanpakken) (Literally
translated: Addressing weekend accidents by controls)
This idea would be a very cool one. Why, I hear you say? Because
ISA is mainly present in SF, the city of RP, right? So, this
control would be quite a cool roleplay. Take a look at the
example for interstate 127 at Garver Bridge.
HTML http://i46.tinypic.com/33lctpg.png[/img]
Simplified example, if you want an in game example, contact me
in game.
You can clearly see how it would look like. Let me give the
'storyline':
[li]Car drives in from the left and needs to come to a stop at
the queue. An officer is set just before the queue to make
drivers slow down. (An officer can also be placed a couple of
metres ahead with a bind to warn drivers for a road hazard.
XD)[/li]
[li]Drivers queue and can pass to the control place when told
to. (Need to stop at queue line in case of: Oncoming traffic;
control place occupied; other valid reason)[/li]
[li]Driver gets asked to turn off the engine (/engine) and to
step out. Officer that's standing at the control place asks
roleplay questions.[/li]
[li]Driver can go if everything's okay. Next car is up for
control.[/li]
So you see, this would involve a lot of roleplay, a little bit
of law enforcement, and good teamwork. Why?
[li]There will have to be officers at the oncoming traffic side
of the interstate to warn the queue-officer he can't let a car
pass already.[/li]
[li]Officers will have to be stand-by near the cars, so if
anyone tries to escape due to a high wanted level, all officers
can start the persuit quickly.[/li]
[li]The barriers are required to eliminate some trollers who try
to skip trough the wrong side. [/li]
[li]Non-RP-addition: spikes can be put between the queue and
control place, so wanted persons automatically will get screwed
if they try to escape.[/li]
[li]Reckless drivers who think they can violate rule #17 are
forced to stop there, so we can tell them their behaviour is
inappropiate.[/li]
Note: This can be considered griefing or misconduct in the
server. So I need an admin's permission before this can be even
tested.
This is the first suggestion. I gave it my best job to
contribute to the best law enforcement group in the CIT.
[sub](@Gunslinger: I know I told you I'd want to join the SWAT,
and that that was the only reason I didn't want to join ISA, but
I'll stick with ISA. This group is way cooler.)[/sub]
Only constructive criticism is wanted. Like: "This would not
really contribute to law enforcing." Not: "nab way you n00b fk u
ill kill u if u do is cuz ur nab nd me friend will pwn u"
I can always modify my suggestion, but I think this will do the
trick now.
-Vngngdn.

Oh I like that, except for the fact that we will block the other
side of the interstate (that what I understood from the
figure.). Job well done Vng, I knew I can count on you on this
stuff, lets hear a word from Schulz 'bout that.

Bravo! Really cool idea and you seem to know how to expalin
something, which is a good thing. Just a few details:
- It's true, we are a RP group, but that doesn't necessarily
mean are mainly present in SF. Actually most of the patrolling
activities happen in LS.
- The idea is really good but, as Guns says, we shouldn't block
the entire interstate (maybe doing the same thing for people
coming the other way).
- Well, this wouldn't be considered as a training, more like a
peculiar part of our patrolling activities, since it involves
other people (drivers).
- Would test our organization skills, which is a pretty good
thing.
Amazing job.

Lets do that today and see how it goes, hopefully we have enough
members to do this.

The reason we need to do this is that everyone will just go
drive on the other side of the road to evade the control. Then
we couldn't do anything...
Besides, thanks for the positive reactions! :D

Schulz and I were training sometime ago on how we will be
placing those barriers and it worked just fine. No one will be
able to evade as we will be doing the same on the other side of
the interstate.
Will post some pictures tomorrow when I wake up as I'm
half-dead, half-asleep.

I once hosted an offensive driving training with Gunsy's
approval, and though it was an overall fail, i created a buddy
system on the spot which i'm quite proud of. I'll walk you
through with a little more detail
We took Patrol Cars to SF Interstate and lined them 2,2 (the
buddy system), where that person to your immediate left or right
was your training buddy, Myself and Guns were the lead car's as
to explain and demonstrate to the rest of the OFC/RCT the "Lag
Pit" in theory.
***I then instructed the Left line to PIT the Right line, 1 set
of buddies at a time.***
Once they completed a successful PIT they should have returned
the rest of the group, changing places, so now the buddy in the
left line now becomes the buddy in the right and vice versa
After that we basically just rinse and repeat at that point, so
Everyone PITS, and Everyone gets PIT..
now of course as with lining, we dont always have enough members
in any given training to have a perfect 2,2 line, (Which is what
ended up happening) But that's completly okay! That just means
that we recycle training partner's
Example. there is 1 instructor and 4 members in training for a
total of 5 members a 2,2 line would mean that 1 person will be
without a buddy, but if the instructor is the first one PIT'ing
then the instructor will be then moved to the back of the "To Be
PIT" line which means the instructor will become that odd
players training buddy. etc etc etc, So in theory We could
literally run this effecient method of driver training
indefinetly, until either Someone's car explodes, runs out of
gas, or the instructor feels confident every member successfully
understands the Lag Pit concept and are dismissed.

Set topic as sticky.
Yep, I really liked this method for a PIT training. It was
really enjoyable. I think I should be releasing a guide like the
previous one I made for the FBI back then. I will try to make it
simple and understandable and will add this method you made Hugo
as the only method SGT+ should be using in a PIT training. Of
course with copyrights to you so I don't find myself in jail.
