ISA - Official Training rules (Cadets MUST READ!)
DIR By: Honda
Date: September 4, 2012, 1:54 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
- Follow the instructor's orders and listen closely
- When the instructor has closed the praticipation for training,
no one will be able to join after it.
- If there is a troller needed to be dealt with, the Instructor
gives you the orders , don't act by yourself!
Line-up formation rules
- In line participators must not talk until the instructor have
finished what I had to say and you are asked to.
- When the instructor has asked the participants if they have
any questions, the instructor will answer one by one to them in
case there is any.
- When the instructor gives the trainee the chance to ask
something then he takes one step forward out of the line and
asks
- When the instructor asks from the participator then the
participator must hold position.
When for an example the instructor tells you to get in 3,3,3
formation, then 3 colums of three trainees must appear. Every
participant goes behind the furthest one to the left of him
depending of the formation.
If there's 7 participants for example and the trainer commands
you to form a 2, 2, 2, 1 stance.
You perform it like this:
Start off by standing in a linear line.
HTML http://www.upload.ee/image/2656957/1.jpg
In the "2, 2, 2, 1" there are four digits, that mean that
there's 4 frontal positions and people taking these positions
should not move (Starting from the left).
Then the linear line cuts after the fourth player.
HTML http://www.upload.ee/image/2656959/2.jpg
The remaining 3 Units, take a step back, while aiming forward.
HTML http://www.upload.ee/image/2656960/3.jpg
Then they start moving sideways, behind other units, w/o racing
and breaking the position that they were in at first.
HTML http://www.upload.ee/image/2656961/4.jpg
They stop once they've reached their position and that's how the
"2, 2, 2, 1" formation is formed.
HTML http://www.upload.ee/image/2656962/5.jpg
If you've been given orders to return to the linear line state,
you return the opposite way you formed your previous formation.
HTML http://www.upload.ee/image/2656963/6.jpg
Sideways.
HTML http://www.upload.ee/image/2656964/7.jpg
Step forward.
HTML http://www.upload.ee/image/2656957/1.jpg
And done.

Seems fair enough, Honda good job. This will go in the "Official
Trainings Guide" section. Also, I didn't understand number 4
completely, would be nice if you could explain it to me.

That means, that if the instructor is asking, and the trainee is
answering, he does not move like he has to when he is asking
fróm the instructor. Its the kind of obvious rule, but you know,
so noone has to make a stupid question.
EDIT: aah hehe had some stupid error in the sentence and
corrected it.

About the line up formation, I mean, you did a great job and all
with the pictures but that's not really the way line up
formation works.
When the instructor says "3,3,3" or "2,2,2" or "4,4,4" the
repeated number shows how many members will be on the front. (I
don't have time to finish sorry)

I can explain it if you don't mind Schulz.
2,2,2 means 2 people sransing next to each other horizontally
with no spaces, followed by 2 right behind them, followed by
other 2. So it's 2 columns with 3 people in each one with no
vertical nor horizontal spaces.
A 5,5 formation would be 5 columns of 2 units in each. And
1,1,1,1 would typically mean vertical line no matter how many
people involved. There is also V space which is vertical space
and H space which is horizontal space. the space should be large
enough so that anomther unit can pass through it but not larger.
That's what I was trying to tell you honda yesterday. The three
of us should discuss it to decide what method to use.

Ok, let me clear things up even more.
"5,5" formations in theory, do not exist. What exists is a
"5,5,5" formation. What am I saying? It means that the number
you choose, would be repeated 3 times, it doesn't matter how
many members there are.
It's actually a really simple thing, imagine there are 11 cadets
(for example). The instructor/leader says, I want a "3,3,3"
formation, then 3 members should be on front, three at the back,
and so on. But if they are 11, are there gonna be 2 members
missing? No, they would line up equally behind the others, like
if they were three (Of course there is gonna be one empty space,
but who cares). So again, if we have 11 cadets and we ask for
this type of formation, it's absolutely not necessary to write:
"3,3,3,2" (<- That would be wrong, in theory). Writing 3,3,3
would be enough for everyone to understand.
I'm gonna give another example, imagine there are 7 cadets. The
instructor/leader says, I want a 4,4,4 formation, that means
that 4 members would be on the front and the other three would
stand right behind them (as if they were 4). There is absolutely
no need to write: I want a "4,3" formation, that would make
things even more confusing. So basically, formations are based
in three equal digits, chosen by the instructor/leader.
That's the way it's gonna work in ISA. I did this because it's
REALLY simple to understand, I don't want people getting
confused about this. It's simple and it's useful, we do not need
some other kind of complex formations.
Spaces also exist, they are really simple too, you can check
that in the GPG, actually all what I said is explained there.

I really Think that the number should show the people in one
column, not in a row, it is not that confusing.

Maybe not confusing for you, but I know how complicated its
gonna get in the future for other people. The formation should
be something really dynamic and 100% easy. Besides, we do not
need another kind of complex formations such as "4,3,3,2" or
something like it.
It's staying like this.

Complex formations are just for training, so they no where to
go, ofcourse usually we would use simple formations like 3,3,3
