A few concerns I have (read it)

       ---------------------------------------------------------
Hello officers, I would like to let you know about a few things
that are worrying me lately so we can work this out.
So, first I'll tell why I did this post, the thing is my final
exams are gonna start in a few days so I'm not gonna be online
very much until the first week of December ends. Once that
happens I'll have definitely A LOT of time (starting the
       7.10.2012).
Anyway lets start: The first thing that is worrying me is about
our patrolling activities. I will remind you guys that this is
the most important activity of our department, it's the basis of
our progress and every single member should know this. Now, this
patrolling activity thing comes with RP of course, since that's
what define us as a group, so I don't want you guys to start
losing the RP feeling, because WE ARE NOT another generic CIT
law group. The times that I have been online, there are just a
few officers patrolling or providing assistance while the others
are just doing nothing and not even responding on the groupchat
when there are backup calls. At least, if you are gonna do that,
you should put the "OD" tag in your name, otherwise other
officers will think that there are many available units, when
the truth is that there isn't. Backup calls are not a joke, at
all, and it's also very important to answer "10-0" if you are
not gonna attend, that way officers are at least aware that
other members know what's going on. So what I'm trying to say
is, do not neglect (new word I just learned from google
       translator) your patrolling duties!
Higher ranks are supposed to be a role model about all what I
just said, so encourage people to work properly.
       [hr]
Now guys let me clear up a few things: If you are a RCT in ISA
and you are not being promoted, it's most likely because you are
doing something wrong or you are not showing yourself as a
particularly good group member. For example in my case, what
criteria do I use to promote a RCT? Well, I check out the
       following points:
       - He has to know about roleplay obviously, if he don't then what
the hell is he doing here.
       - He has to enjoy roleplay of course, I don't want people
pretending they like it if they really don't, that would be
       stupid.
       - He needs to know the syllabus stuff according to his rank,
that goes for all the ranks.
       - He needs to show himself as a good ISA member and that means:
       1) Responding to backup calls, being available to provide help
       2) Calling for backup when it's needed, if you start thinking
RPly, then you will know when to call for backup (also read GPG
       about backup stuff).
Now let me explain a few things about this ^. New RCT's tend to
think that if they respond to a million backup calls, they are
suddenly gonna be promoted. Well the answer is: ABSOLUTELY NOT.
If a RCT is responding to lots of backup calls but I haven't
seen him a single time doing a backup call then I don't promote
them and don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you guys should fake
backup calls, I'm saying that if you NEVER need help, then you
are not roleplaying at all. And if you don't roleplay at all,
then you don't get promoted obviously. So, watch police videos,
feel yourself as a real police officer in CIT, feel yourself in
a real police department no ****, etc <- That's when the game
becomes REALLY exciting and entertaining, which is what we aim
       for here in ISA.
For example in my personal case: I personally LOVE when a backup
call appears on the group chat, I love turning on my sirens and
writing "10-2" on the groupchat informing my team mate that I'm
on my way. And the thing is, I really feel myself inside the
game, I feel excited, I can even feel the adrenalin from time to
time. So that's what it's about, roleplay, live each and every
situation as if it was really you. That feeling is what makes me
call for backup when I feel in danger or when I think it would
be smart to prevent a bad situation, by calling a backup unit.
I hope you get what I'm trying to say.
       [hr]
Now, if you are a Officer and you are not being promoted then
well, all what I'm saying right now is already written
somewhere, for example in the Rank Information but I'm doing
this right now to remind you guys about these things:
       - Officers are supposed to learn the syllabus of their rank, of
course. If nobody has teached you anything, then ask someone to
help you on it, or just read the damn GPG and try understanding
stuff by yourself. If there's a SGT+ online tell him to instruct
you on the things you don't know, igf he has time.
       - The next rank is Constable, which is a rank that only role
model members of the ISA will get, so if you are willing to get
this rank start reading the ISA info in our forums (there's a
lot of info). And if you read it, understand it, follow it and
apply it, then you are gonna be promoted no doubt.
       - No more to say, just use your common sense.
       [hr]
If you are a Constable and you are not being promoted well:
       - The next rank is Sergeant which makes you a training
instructor, you should understand things to a 100% now and be
able to teach them to other members, if you can't do this then I
guess you are not getting that rank.
       - You must know the syllabus stuff.
       - No more to say.
       [hr]
Now the last (but not least) thing that has being bothering me,
is that we don't have enough SGT+ so lower ranks can start
having more trainings and knowing more about ISA. However I
don't give anyone the SGT+ ranks obviously, otherwise if I
choose the wrong people it will all start being a chaos. That's
why we are still on this process of finding the right people to
the right ranks. I would love to teach you all the syllabus and
all that stuff but unfortunately I can't, I don't have all the
time in the world so I need more people actively helping on
teaching and instructing the other members (I'm talking about
SGT+). Well I guess that's it, also don't forget that recruiting
people from time to time isn't bad at all, if they seem to have
some potential then invite them, see how they do.
There are awsome people out there on the server who still don't
know about us, they are really difficult to find to be honest
but I know they exist. And how am I so sure that they exist?
Because most of them are already part of the ISA project and
they came out of nowhere, I'm talking about all of you guys,
from Commissioners to Officers, thank you all for believing on
this idea, I guess I never said that.
Now lets keep it up! And I don't care if the requirements got
extended to 6 months, we will wait then, but in the meanwhile
lets keep on working to make of this group the best one!
Thank you all for your time.
       Schulz
