dezarai's arrival

I'm sitting in the hospital waiting area when a lady comes and
sits beside me. I'm kinda scared because she's a stranger and my
mommy told me to never talk to strangers. She smiles at me and I
hug Mr. Teddy, my teddy bear. she tells me that my mommy hasn't
woken up from her coma yet and that there's no one to look after
me right now so she's gonna take me to a nice place where I'll
be taken care of until my mommy wakes up. I get really scared
when she takes my hand and guides me off the chair and takes me
through the hospital and out the doors to her car. I don't say a
word as she buckles me in and drives away. eventually I start to
cry "Mommy! I want my mommy!" but the lady just tells me its ok,
but I don't believe her. we pull up to this really pretty house
and she gets out, opens my door, and unbuckles me. She grabs my
hand and we walk up the driveway to the front door and she rings
the doorbell. The lady smiles down at me and squeezes my hand,
"You're gonna be ok Dezarai, you'll be safe here until your mom
gets better" she says as we wait for the door to be answered. I
look away and hold Mr. Teddy close to my chest...I'm absolutely
terrified......

I answer the door and smile at the child.*
"Hello" I say to both the child and social worker. The social
worker then tells me that this child will be staying with me un
till further notice because her mom is sick. I tell her ok. I
look at the child and tell her to come on in. I smile and tell
her my name is ms. China
Whats your name?

I look up at her and nod " yea I habent eaten in a while....." I
say quietly

Hmm well... *looks in the fridge* we have some hot dogs thatwe
can warm up... or some mac and cheese.. *keeps looking* umm and
some chicken nuggets.. you want any of that? Or you could always
have some fruit or a sandwhich
