Kung Fu Chess

(Writing this in Morocco - I can hear the call to prayer as I
write!)
I recently saw this on r/chessvariants:
HTML https://www.kfchess.com/
It's chess but in real time, with no turns. After moving a piece
there is a small time limit, which I assume is promotional in
length to the value of the piece where you cannot move it. I
tried playing the AI on the site, and any mode other than the
most advanced one is pretty much trivial. The website is in beta
testing phase so don't expect a completely finished page, what
is notable is that there is no alert for checks. For example, I
was just moving around during a game vs the AI and didn't
realize until later I could just take the king. I am not sure
about whether or not this is a ripoff of Judo Chess, which is
exactly the same, the website for that below, or a relaunch.
HTML http://www.judochess.com/
Thanks,
Asher

Kung Fu Chess was first, IIRC and it was a lively site for
awhile, but then died off. Judo Chess was the reboot and I don't
know if it was with or without the blessings of the original.
The concept is very interesting and while I played a lot of Kung
Fu Chess when the site was up, I never got deep enough to
develop an opening theory or even win regularly. It was,
however, very compelling to play. I wish there was something
like it that was more correspondence based... in other words
hours/days to refresh a piece rather than seconds. That would be
interesting to me.
Tactically a very interesting concept. The Strategy is yet
undefined fully but I seem to remember there were some sites
covering the basics. Extremely open play, since piece start to
fall off the board quickly.
