This...
Honestly, I'm really not sure what this is, so I'll leave a link
here:
HTML http://playtarka.com
The pieces bear a slight resemblance to the Lewis chessmen.
With all this marketing it's eerie to see this site so empty.

Does anyone actually know the rules to this game? Or are they
behind some kind of paywall?
I flicked through a couple of videos and the only things I know
is that the board is 16x16; there are squires, gargoyles,
princes and princesses; and that gargoyles can also castle with
kings. Nothing on moves, nothing on anything else for that
matter.

I checked out their website -
the current display and situation is very weird but the game
looks AWESOME! ;D
Everyone keep an eye out for updates!

It's kinda like the omega chess website where at the top it says
'New boards coming soon!' and yet AFAIK they've been out of
production for a while...
The Wayback Machine doesn't give me much either. :/ A very
strange case indeed. I'm curious as to what happened to this
site, it's a total ghost town yet they still have these
exuberant sets for sale.

I found a "contact us" form buried in an obscure corner of the
site and sent a long message on the behalf of the forum, I hope
they respond! ;D

Their facebook page leaves behind an e-mail as well. I sent them
one for sake of seeing if there's still any activity.
EDIT: Whereabouts did you find it?

So the Tarka website responded!
Apparently the creator and his team are checking out the forum
and hopefully we'll get some answers soon! :D

Great! I got a response from the support team but not the e-mail
left on their facebook page.
