Whoops, I meant LE+K vs. K or FO+K vs. K (LE being the leopard
and FO the fortress). I'd most like to take a crack at LE+K vs.
K as Black, I haven't been able to give mate with king and
leopard OTB but I'd like to see how it's done!
If you want me to play for the position above, I'll be Black as
       well. I'll follow OTB.

The longest win for King + Leopard vs. King is shown above
       (provided my data are correct).
White to move and mate in 17 (win in 33-ply)

       1. Ka7 Black to move.
Planchet announces black loses in 54-ply = 27 moves.

If you want to watch the play, or play live against the
tablebases, download the TeamViewer app at TeamViewer.com
During the free registration process, make sure you select
"Personal Use Only" if you want the free version.
The login ID for my computer is: 392895346
       The password is: WatchPlanchet
This will connect you to my 4.6 GHz Intel i7-5960X with 8 CPU
cores and 128 GB of RAM (and all my stuff on that computer).
If you login, say hello, and identify yourself. You'll see
several copies of my Musketeer Chess program running.

       2. ... Ke7 (just a heads up, I might not be as active as I'd
       like to be).
I can only imagine that LE+K vs. K is like A+K vs. K but a bit
       more difficult (and boring).
       Off-topic, but about K+U vs. K - that's a draw, surely? I've
done some stuff with K+U+B and K+U+N vs. K, but the hawk
       endgames have got me wondering.

The Unicorn endings only have mate in 1 positions that black
must walk into. All other positions are draws.

       3.... Ke6
Kd8 is instant mate, which leads me to suspect that that's the
kind of position White wants to get to as soon as Black can't
       hold out any longer.
