A House of Daring (9/11 Michiru's House)

Michiru's hosue was a moderate size, the four bedroom house
would've looked as normal as the rest of the homes on the street
were it not for the black iron gate wrapping around the property
and the sky blue grass growing around the house. Below the house
was a large lab, equipped with the latest technology it was the
domain of her father the infamous Bad Luck Tech Kyuro Ninamori.
As the two girls walked up to the gate they could see a trail of
smoke coming out of the kitchen window. "Oh my?! It seems my dad
is trying his hand at cooking again." Michiru said with
amusement, though she quickly unlocked the gate.

Mai watched the smoke billow out of the kitchen and shook her
head. "I guess we better get in there and stop him huh? I
don't think we have time to fix fire damage before your friend
comes over." She nudged Michi playfully.

Michiru rolled her eyes, "Friend for now but who knows. He could
in fact be the one." she said excitedly nearly twirling as she
made her way to the door. She unlocked it and let it stay open
to air out the smoke.
As the two girls walked in a man with dark, messy dark teal
colored hair came walking out of the kitchen coughing. Black
streaks were underneath his cheeks and glasses fogged. "Dad what
have I told you about cooking without someone to keep an eye on
you?" Michi scolded gently. Kyuro lifted his head up, tears
forming in his eyes as he ran forward and hugged his daughter
"Mimi thank the stars your home. I tried to make a cake but
somehow it went wrong and now everything is smoky and ruined!"
he wailed dramatically. "I followed the box but then I thought
that would be boring so I tried...well adding a few things to
make it more interesting but then the stove conspired against me
and decided to burn my wonderful creation!" it was easy to see
where Michiru got her flair for drama.
Kyuro caught sight of Mai and grinned happily, nearly bouncing
on his toes. "My dear Mai how wonderful to see you, I feel like
it's been so long. Why just yesterday I was working on a new
experiment and I thought to myself how great it would be Mai
would come for a visit and here you are. Like a fairy tale wish
come true." and where she got her ability to go from one mood to
the next

Mai watched with a smile as Michi's father explained the plight
of the cake. When his attention turned to her she grinned.
"You must have a brilliant fairy god mother to work so quickly."
she beamed at him, ignoring the fact that she was had been here
just a few days ago. "I always love coming over here for a
visit."

Michiru went to go survey the damage in the kitchen, though she
adored her quirky dad she did wish he listened to her rules when
it came to the kitchen.
"Oh yes I must, truly it is magic that works many wonders in our
universe." he said, cleaning his glasses on his coat. "If only
she'd let me make a successful meal in the kitchen...ah well it
is always lovely to see my second daughter. I always find myself
troubled with my dear Mimi not having any blood siblings."
sliding hi glasses on he grinned. "I better return to the lab, I
am currently attempting to modify a drum set for Mimi, it'll be
so wonderful when its done!" excitedly he spun on his heal and
dashed back to the door that lead down to the basement lab.

Mai beamed at him, and called "One of these days you'll
successfully concur the kitchen!" She was always perfectly fine
with being his second daughter. Since she was also an only
child Michi was basically her sister anyways, or at least as
close to a blood sibling she'd ever had. She shook her head
with a smile as he disappeared, until she realized what he said
he was working on. She walked to the kitchen and smiling
shaking her head. They would need to be cautious when those
came out of the basement, or at least test them before a show.

"Did dad go off to the lab?" she asked Mai as she nearly choked
on the smoke coming out of the oven when she opened it. "He's
getting better, a lot of smoke but most of the damage was
contained in the oven." she said to herself and went to open a
window.

Mai nodded, "Yeah he went back to his project." she said with a
smile. She waved her hand in front of her eyes knocking some of
the smoke away, with a laugh surveying the oven. She leaned
against the counter, "Anything I can do to help get dinner
ready?"

Se pondered what to cook, "Hmm anything that can be baked is out
of the question." she said, a small frown on her face as she
entered "mother" mode. "I believe pasta will be a safe choice
but what kind should I make. So many to choose from!" grabbing
her apron and cook book she set to work flipping through the
worn pages. "Mai-Mai can you check the fridge and see if there's
any tomatos, green peppers and possibly a thing of sliced
cheese?" she asked.

"Sure Michi!" She wandered over to the fridge and opened it
peering inside. She grabbed the listed items and closed the
fridge. "Found it all!" she smiled brightly bring it all over
to her.
