Worst weather you've ever been through

What has been the worse weather you've ever experienced?
I've been through a major derecho in 2009. It uprooted hundreds
of thousands of trees throughout my region. Most folks were out
of power for at least 2 weeks.
How about you all?

Personally, I don't like it when it keeps raining constantly for
more than 5 hours. I live on the Island, once it rains for too
long, everywhere is going to be flooded.

Island living during flooding conditions can be really scary.
Especially if you have nowhere to evacuate to.
Do you have somewhere to go in case it gets really bad?

There was a very heavy rain last June, I still remember. I was
inside a commercial bus heading home, everywhere was flooded,
water entered inside the bus, clothes and sneakers were all
soaked. It was very terrifying.

There's been a couple I've been through that have been the
same/similar, all in the winter.
One was an ice storm that caused power to go out for a few days
and took down many trees around the area.
Another was a heavy snowstorm that pretty much made it very
difficult to get anywhere. Snow removal took a long time.

I been around some pretty bad tornadoes as well. I've seen them,
too. But never got any damage thank God.

I drove up this mountain many miles and then up this long
one-way backwoods driveway in dangerous snow once. I made it out
fine by avoiding pitfalls of snow driving like using the breaks.
Note: The car wasn't 4-wheel drive.
